The first time I heard it was when my bestie and I went for her school band’s concert back in 2006. It was an instrumental version and I fell in love with it. All these years I thought it was only an instrumental song. Only when Danial told me to listen to the original did I know there was lyrics. I love it even more now :)
Apologies for any mispronunciation.
Watch Over You
This is just a Demo with it being an acoustic song caz my babes wouldnt like the distortion bits. hahhahaa
The first Tagalog song I’ve learnt. I apologize if the pronunciation isn’t so accurate but I really love the lyrics because it reminds me of my dear. Here’s the English translation (not translated by me, because I don’t know Tagalog fluently).
Sometimes you feel the weight (heavy) of the problem
Sometimes it’s getting hard on you and you say
I can’t take it anymore
Just look to the sky
Maybe you see something
Or just call me
And you’ll know anytime
Holding hands
I will not leave you on our journey
Here in the world without security (like assurance)
Holding hands
I’m not going to let you go on our journey
In the world full of nothing
Sometimes you feel
The world is breaking apart under your feet
And you’re flowing in a stream of problem
Just look to the sky
Maybe you see something
Or just call me
And you’ll know that anytime
Chorus
Don’t say that you are alone
Always think that you’re always with somebody
I’m here for you
I’m here for you
Chorus
do you ever think about how weird reading is
our eyes are able to scan these different symbols and construct the scenarios and concepts they describe in our mind
and these concepts have the power to twist our emotions and make us cry and laugh and wow reading is weird
My parents really love and care for me so much. Everytime my emotions flail all over the place, they remind me to turn back to the Lord and keep me rooted in His Word. Couldn’t have asked for better parents. The Lord surely gives us the best and I am so thankful.
